So we may just be entering fall, but here at Jessie James Photography we are already looking to the holidays ahead! Why? Well, because this year we have some super adorable sessions planned for you! Also because Christmas is a great time for portraits and to celebrate all we are thankful for! Another reason I like to start early is so you all have enough time to get together those Christmas cards.
Holiday Mini Sessions
Whether it’s baby’s first Christmas, or if they’ve celebrated the past few holidays. There is something so fun about Christmas portraits. To celebrate the magic of the season, and witness your child’s excitement during that time, is truly magical.
Some families choose to focus solely on the children, while others take advantage of these sessions to get the whole family involved. Either way, my mini sessions are a less stressful way to get festive holiday photos. Sessions are generally shorter in time, and range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the package you choose. Which makes it a great amount of time for busy families and/or restless babies. But no worries, it is plenty of time to get some gorgeous imagery of your precious family!
The Setups
This year, I wanted to have a nice variety of sets. So I have a total of 4 different indoor setup, and will be opening a date for outdoor mini sessions, most likely the second weekend in October. The setups will be able to accommodate children of all ages, and different styling options. We have some elegant themed backdrops to break out the formal wear. And some cozy setups, that are great for some Christmas PJ’s, and cookies and milk for Santa.

Holiday Mini Session Pricing
This year, we are offering three different packages for holiday portraits. Pricing for packaging is as follows.

Classic Holiday Session- $250
- one hour session
- two setups
- includes 10 digital images
Luxe Holiday Package- $350
- one hour session
- two to three setups (depending on time)
- includes 15 digital images
- in person viewing and ordering appointment

Christmas Card Family Pictures
As some of you may know I am a big advocate of printing! Reason being, digital images are not an archival product. Eventually one day those files will corrupt, and there is a chance you will lose your precious memories. Christmas time is the perfect time to take advantage of printing! Gifting someone a printed photograph for them to cherish for years to come, shows a loved one how special they are to you. Photo gifts are unique, sentimental, and will be treasured for years to come. These make especially great gifts for grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Our Luxe package this year includes a pack of 25 custom boutique cards. I have some great options available, and one of my favorite is my “Year in Review” card. It has all of your child and family’s year milestones, and keeps your family in the loop with what you’ve been up to!
