Mr.S, his Mama, and his grandmother came to my Staten Island studio for his newborn portraits! It was my first time meeting this little doll!
We went for a neutral color scheme for these portraits, and the more photo-shoots I do with this theme, the more and more I love it. I also find a lot more parents requesting it. Classic, simple, and clean. This neutral color scheme is a great way in making sure your newborn photos are timeless and classic. Of course I always have to throw little pops of color in there as well.
One of my favorite things to add into these earthy, time-honored photos is my butterfly overlay. They add the perfect pop to the image and make them just a little more interesting.
Using Props during a Newborn Session
Your baby’s safety is always my first priority during your newborn’s portrait session. So it isn’t uncommon for me to ask Mom or Dad to step in as a spotter during the session. With Mr. S, I had the opportunity to use a bunch of new props that I couldn’t wait to put into use.
One is the adorable rustic, wooden bed, that can be decorated so many different ways. My first thoughts for decoration were flowers and ivy, but for Mr. S, we went with beautiful butterflies, just along the top.
Mr. S is also a little world traveler, so we made use of an adorable vintage suitcase, and a picturesque map background.
I really love the way his gallery turned out, and I hope you do too! I cant wait to see you again soon Mr. S! Until then!
