It was so much fun for me to spend some time and photograph 6 month old Mr. L. And what a HAPPY baby he was! He was cheesing almost the entire time for his milestone sitter session.
I absolutely adore capturing this milestone, baby’s are usually just starting to develop their personality, and we are able to get so many good shots! Mr L even took a little nap during his sitter session, and we got some amazing sleepy time poses. Who says that’s only reserved for newborns?
About a Sitter Session
“Sitter” sessions are usually scheduled during the 6-9 month age range, when babies are able to sit unassisted. This is such a precious time, and a lot of parents tend to forget about photographs at this age.
There are so many perks to this milestone. For one, the baby is usually starting to laugh at something they find silly, and we get some gorgeous photos of your smiling munchkin. Just like happy boy Mr. L, who was having a blast while we sang to him.
Another perk is the variety of images in your gallery. There are many different options and poses for babies at this age. Some include, sitting up, laying down on their back (for some overhead shots) and of course, tummy time.
Another one of my favorite perks is the baby is not walking yet, so they aren’t able to run away!
There are so many beautiful milestones during the first year of your baby’s life. Newborn and cake smash sessions will always be special, but the time in between deserves to be captured as well.
